My Internship…..

I was lucky to stuble across this internship opportunity working for the Campus Newspaper as their Design/Layout Editor. The women who ran the paper last year happen to come to the dark room during the open lab I was running. I love that title and hope to be working in this field when I graduate. I am excited and nervous to dive into the work. The school newspaper uses Adobe InDesign for the layout software. The good news is I am familiar with Adobe software and comfortable using Illustrator and Photoshop, (I was a graphic artist for a real estate company for a year). Here is the bad news, I have touched the surface of InDesign and it was like 4 years ago. I am affraid Iwon’t be able to deliver. At the first newspaper meeting I was the only design student, but thankfully at the last meeting another design studentshowed up. Hopefully she knows InDesign more then I do and I can learn from her and maybe will will both grow as designers.
